PROVINCIAL TEAM MEET 2023

The Provincial team meet was held from 12 to15 January 2023, at Auxilium Convent Dum Dum, to prepare the Provincial project and calendar for the year 2023-24. There were 15 team members present for the meeting. Sr. Perumpettikunnel Lily, the General Coordinator of the Province gave a warm welcome to all the team members. The meeting started invocating the Holy Spirit, and with a spiritual thought from the life of Bl. Magdalene Morano which placed the participants in a very good disposition to enter into the day’s programme. Sr. Lily then guided the team members in the planning and programming. The presentation of the Provincial Project Evaluation 2022 -23 and the report of each sector were projected.

The following day the team members scanned through the Acts of GCXXIV and Strenna 2023 of the Rector Major, which inspired the participants to formulate the ‘Vision’ and to draw up the priority choices and lines of action for the coming year. The coordinators of the sectors presented their plan of action. The members took keen interest in carrying out the important task and gave their rich contribution in planning the project and calendar for the year 2023 – 2024.The members thanked Sr. Perumpettikunnel Lily for her constant guidance and support.

Provincial Team Meeting

Team Meet

The annual Provincial Team meet was held from 11-13 February 2022 at Auxilium Dum Dum, Provincial House to draw up the provincial project and program for the coming year. 13 members participated. Sr. Lily Perumpettikunal the general coordinator of the province gave a warm welcome to all especially to the new team members of different sectors. The introductory talk was delivered by Rev Sr. Leelamma Palliparambil the Provincial. She thanked the sectors for carrying out their responsibilities faithfully and encouraged the members to do everything with love and nothing through constraint. She invited everyone to be with Mary a life-giving presence.

Thereafter the general coordinator guided the team members in the planning and programming. The sectors presented their reports and planned for the future. The members showed keen interest in this important task and each one gave her rich contribution in planning the project and program for the year 2022-2023. The members then presented the well-defined provincial project and the calendar and the sector plans to the provincial and the provincial secretary and got their approval. The members thanked Sr. Provincial for her wise guidance and also proposed the vote of thanks to Sr. Lily for her continual guidance and support.

Provincial Team Meet

DUM DUM: On 4 September 2020, 14 team members of Kolkata zone gathered at Auxilium Dum Dum. The meeting was organized by the General Co-ordinator, Sr. Lily Perumpettikunnel in preparation for the online Provincial Team to be held on 6 September. The meeting began with a hymn to the Holy Spirit followed by the Word of God taken from the letter of St. Paul, exhorting us to clothe ourselves with love and compassion. Sr Rose Ezarath the provincial in her message stressed on the Mandate: I entrust them to you, a commitment of relationship among ourselves and the whole of creation. Sr. Lily outlined some of Pope Francis’ major concerns that guide his ministry of service and his invitation to the church: “Let us protect Christ in our lives, so that we can protect others, protect creation… showing loving concern for each and every person, especially children, those in need…”.

The aim of the gathering was to chalk out a tentative program for the annual Provincial Community day and to prepare the province calendar for the year 2020-2021. The team members agreed on the day and theme of the Provincial Community day. It was agreed to celebrate it on 28 October preceded by a month-long spiritual practices with the scope of spiritual renewal of the members of the province. Keeping in mind the celebration of 150th foundation of our Institute and the centenary of the FMA Presence in India, the proposed theme is, “Accepting and living the mandate ‘I entrust them to you’ ”.  Sr. Lily then presented a tentative Province Programme which the members accepted with some modifications. The day’s meeting was concluded with a prayer by the Vice Provincial Sr. Teresa Adampakallel.

The online meeting held on 6 September was attended by all the team members except one. All the members agreed upon the proposed theme, the weekly practices and other suggestions, with slight modifications in the plans and programme. Since physical gathering would not be possible due to Covid-19, the members suggested conducting only the Vigil Service online, virtual sharing of good nights by the communities as per the prayer list, as well as the festal greetings. Everyone expressed their satisfaction with the programme. The members then thanked Sr. Lily for her effort in making this meeting a successful one.

Province Team Meet: Coming together to create synergy

 

From 19 -22 January 2017, the Team members met together, in the Provincial house, Auxilium Convent Dum Dum under the leadership of the newly appointed General Coordinator Sr. Elizabeth Valliyil. After invoking  God’s blessings the meeting began with the introductory message  of Sr. Teresa Adampakallel, the vice Provincial exhorting the Team members saying : “life  is all about little decisions we make every day ,decisions of the past have had their effect but every new day can be a new start so look to God and His Word for fresh courage and hope.” with these words Sr. Teresa in the absence of the Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarath gave a boost to the members of the team for planning for the forth coming year.

Every sector presented their report in a very creative manner. One could feel the zeal and interest of each sector with which the animation was carried out. Before moving on to the preparation of the Province  Project we were briefed on the Strenna 2017:We are a family! Every home , a school of life and love.  Keeping in mind the Triennial Verification with the presence of Mother General in our midst detailed programme of the yearly events were choked out to facilitate the animation of all the sectors. The meeting came to an end with the expression of thanks from the General Coordinator. In a very special way the outgoing general Coordinator Sr. Mini Mary Chettayil was thanked for her precision, innovativeness, self sacrifice and for keeping us abreast with the signs of the times.

The Province Team of 13 members, under the leadership and guidance of Sr. Mini Chettayil, the general coordinator gathered at Barasat on 18th July by 9.00 a.m. She led us prayer collectively and then welcomed the group. Three new members to the team were welcomed with a garland, Sr. Teresa Karakkal in the Social ministry sector, Sr. Basanti Ekka in the Youth Pastoral and Sr. Geraldine Barratt in the Past Pupils sector. Sr. Mini exhorted us of how successfully we could contribute and work as a team in collaboration for the good and growth of the Province, connecting each of us to share the stories we received in a pamphlet wherein spelled out the various characteristics of good team work to a successful end.

Few information was communicated about the next Team Meet. Our next item on the agenda was the celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Sr. Mary George U to be held on 23rd August 2015. Responsibilities to the celebration were allotted to communities and individual sisters.

Finally Sr. Rosina Thomas joined in our meeting and shared the planning of the Liturgy meeting she had attended the previous week with regard to the Salesian Family Congress.  This too was discussed to realize as to how we could make the FMA Congregation and its sanctity within, known to all during Salesian Family Congress.

Sr. Mini then thanked the team for their presence and their contribution made in each of the sectors and exhorted once again to work in close collaboration for the good and growth of the Province. We finally had a photo session of the team and of the new members. A delicious and sumptuous meal was provided by the community of Barasat. The Team members thanked Sr. Stella and the community of Barasat for hosting it and for their generosity and love.

The members of the Provincial Team of Kolkata Province had their annual planning session from 23rd – 26th of January 2015 at Auxilium Dum Dum. Evaluation of the Province project and the Sectors Action Plans of 2014-15 done by the communities on a very positive and appreciative note boosted the members to set off with zest and enthusiasm to commence the preparation of the Province Project 2015-16.

 The strenna of the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, ‘Like Don Bosco with the young, for the young’, three choices for pastoral conversion of GC XXIII and the suggestions given by the Archdiocese of Kolkata put the members in the streamline.  Basing on this, the Team   was able to prepare the Province Project as well as the each Sectors Vision and Action Plans.  The Province Calendar with the Action Plans of the each Sector was also completed within the scheduled time slot.

General coordinator Sr. Mini Chettayil’s adequate and precise planning smoothened and enhanced the work.  Sr. Maria Pettayil the Provincial’s presence on the last day with her contagious enthusiasm in appreciating the work of the Team and her suggestions to ignite the sisters of the Province to be valiant missionaries of the young augmented the spirit of the Team members to do more.  The meeting concluded with the message of the Provincial, ‘We are called to centre ourselves on Christ and to be vibrant missionaries of the young always and everywhere. To be effective be holy and Christ like in our dealings’.
