Certificates Awarded


26th of July 2017, Don Bosco Tech Barasat had Certificates awarding ceremony from 2.30 PM to 4 PM. The Chief guests were Mother provincial Sr. Rose from Kolkata province, Fr. Raphael, in Charge of Don Bosco Tech (West Bengal), Sr. Superior Sr. Stella Davis, Sister in charge of DB Tech Barasat Sr. Sherley KM, West Bengal DB Tech state Coordinator, Mr.Indranil Dutta, Mr. Augustin Tarun Tesra (Cluster Coordinators).


Sr.Sherley welcomed the guests and the present students greeted them with a bouquet of flowers each. It was followed by the lighting of the lamp and a prayer dance by our ex-student Supti Dhali and other items. Fr. Raphael appreciated the training at the centre and he stressed on regularity and punctuality of the students. Sr. Stella Davis, Superior in her message to the students through a story invited the students not to miss the opportunities that come on their ways to build up their life. Sr. Rose our Provincial exhorted them to be honest and God fearing citizens and invited them to be faithful to their daily duties to bloom wherever they are.  All the past students who completed their training successfully were given certificates.

The programme was concluded with the National anthem and a photo session. Before leaving all were served snacks and cold drinks.



St. Mary’s Convent School, Geyzing won AWARDS 2015

GeyzingOn 9th November 2015, Sisters, Staff and students of St Mary’s Convent School, greeted “Mary Jane”, the School’s progressive Band, who brought home six Awards from the prestigious ‘S.R. Regional 2015’, held on 7th November 2015, at Town Hall, Kalimpong.

Mary Jane along with five other bands from Bengal and Sikkim were the final contenders for the “Band of the year Award” and other individual awards.

The band played the final judgmental bout on 7th November morning and confirmed victory later that evening.

We are proud to announce that our students -Bassist Pema Zangmoo “All India Topper”in  Rock School Exams 2015, bagged the “ Bassist of the year Award”, while guitarist Esha Thapa and drummer Martha Lepcha were honoured with Guitarist and Drummer of the year awards.

Finally, the band was conferred with the band of the year award and Esha collected her second award of the day- the “Larry Carlton – musician of the year award”.

Not to forget Yojna Thapa from Yuksom school , who joined forces with the band as twin guitarist with Esha and owned the “Promosing  Guitarist” memento.Geyzing..

The band members are also pursuing formal education in music from Rock School UK and the school is taking a lot of initiative and providing every possible facilities needed to enhance their musical prowess under the able guidance of Mr.Clement Lepcha, the music master of the school. On Saturday, 20th  December 2014, H.C.Auxilium, Vasant Vihar was conferred with the Cleanliness, Hygiene and Sanitation Education (Chase) Award by the Confederation of Indian Universities. This presentation marked the auspicious occasion of the United Nations International Human Solidarity Day.

HCA was one of the few schools selected within the Delhi NCR region that stood out for its outstanding contribution for the overall cleanliness of the nation. The prestigious award that is affiliated to the United Nations (ECOSOC) and Clean up the Earth (CUTE) was handed over to Principal Sr. Lucy John at the India International Centre Auditorium. Some teachers were also present for the ceremony. Citing our efforts towards saving the earth we were strongly recommended by the International Association of Educators for World Peace and we believe our contribution towards making the Earth a greener planet has been appreciated through this gesture.


United Nations World Teachers' Day (4)

The Confederation of Indian Universities conferred Holy Child Auxilium with the National Teaching Excellence Award on 5 October 2014, in the Auditorium of International Centre, Lodi Estate, New Delhi in the presence of National and International dignitaries. It is an organization of all the recognized Universities in India. This prestigious award is affiliated to the United Nations, ECOSOC, UNICEF, UNCED, UNESCO and DPI. It is the recognition of the contribution of the Holy Child Auxilium in the field of academics. The day also marked the World Teachers Day and 10th Annual Day Celebrations of the CIU. Our school was represented by Principal Sr. Lucy Kachira, the Manager Sr. Teresa Ruben, Head Mistress Sr. Annie K, Sr. Gracy P. the superior of Auxilium Snehalaya and Mrs. Anita Sharma, Counsellor and PRO of  HCA. This is truly a testimony of the work put in by the HCA family throughout the years.
