Women’s day celebration at Auxilium Barasat

On 25th March, Development Office hoisted ‘Women’s Day’ celebration for the women of North 24 Parganas Deanery. About 155 women from different Parishes and Religious Communities participated in the programme.  Rev. Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarath was the Chief Guest of the day’s programme.There were also some invitees and resource persons to enlighten and embolden our women. The programme commenced with the prayer service led by Sr. Margaret Ghosh Superior of Monsada. Subsequently Sr. Alma the coordinator of KSSDS welcomed and honoured all the respected guests with the shawl and bouquet of flowers. To inaugurate the programme D.B.Tech students presented a beautiful welcome dance.


The main speaker of the day Mr.Ashutosh Biswas the coordinator of Kalkata Sevakendra. He spoke in length on the topic: “schemes and Health services” that are available for minorities as well for SHG members. Mrs. Lily Shankar the former Municipality councillor of Barasat was extremely happy to see the gathering of women. She highly esteemed and encouraged all the women for coming together to celebrate their day. Sr. Stella the Superior of Auxilium Barasat presented the slide programme on family. In her message she said that the family is the cradle where child begins to learn, therefore, the roll of the parents are very important. The last message was delivered by  Rev. Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarath. Her presence was cheering for all the women. Last of all there was cultural programme that rejuvenated the women. The programme ended with sumptuous lunch by 2.00pm.
