Auxilium Convent, Kalyani began 05 September 2016 with a touch of the Almighty through participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 7 a.m. It was attended by all the teachers, and presided over by Rev. Fr. Siby sdb whose brief homily enabled us realize who a true teacher is in the person of Jesus who came as a teacher par excellence, not to speak but to show. It was also a co-incidence of the canonization of Mother Teresa of Kolkata, a model teacher who taught the dignity of human life. Fr. Siby linked examples of Don Bosco, Mother Mazzarello and our Blessed Mother to be co-creators sharing in the creation of God, in the ministry of teaching, healing and leading.
The students expressed their love and gratitude to their teachers through speeches, songs, skit dance and poems. Classes III and IV concluded the program through a play, ‘Tumi Nirmolo Koro” depicting the life of St. Teresa of Kolkata. Miss Nita Das thanked all the students for their wonderful performance, reminding them of the significance of this happy day. She said, “A Teacher takes a Hand, opens a Mind and touches a heart”.
