From 17 -20 July 2016, Provincial Sr. Rose Ezarath made her visit at Auxilium, Barasat. The air was filled with festivity as the chapel and the entrance to the house was decorated creatively. We welcomed her with a garland and a bouquet of flowers and lead her to the chapel for a short prayer moment. It commenced with Sr. Rose lighting of lamps and handing over to each sister which we placed in front of the altar, as a symbol of our unity and docility to her. During her conference she exhorted the sisters to imitate Mother Mazzarello, especially her love for God. She also elaborated the meaning of the maxim of Mother Mazzarello “Let every stitch be an act of love of God.”
The boarders thanked her through a short programme. During the good night she showed them the life of Prophet Jonah and encouraged them to be responsible and pay heed to God’s call. The visit concluded with a thanks giving Mass.
On the 19th July 2016, the Auxilians of Barasat had the privilege of welcoming Provinicial Sister Rose Ezareth, who was also the former Principal of Auxilium Barasat School.
The auditorium, which was built under Sister Rose’s watchful eye was the venue of this short programme. The event started after the short break with a graceful prayer dance which was followed by a cordial welcome speech by Debashree Pal of Class X – C and a small token of love to facilitate our Sr. Provincial in the form of cards and bouquets. Next our hearts were sent racing by the unconventional orchestra and beat boxing performed by the high schools boys. Following this was a skit that displayed the connection between our past, our present and our future through the theme being, “A lot can happen over a coffee”. Lastly the programme concluded with a breathtaking dance performance potraying historical essence and woman power. After the conclusion of the programme Sister Rose was requested to glorify the audience, with her golden words which she certainly did through a story about determination and faith.
