The 5 junior sisters of INC together with 10 juniors of INM province commenced their 2nd Novitiate -1st Phase at Sacred Heart Novitiate, Ranchi, from 15th November to 15th December 2014. The programme commenced with an inaugural prayer moment animated by Sr. Philomena Prabanalathan, co-ordinator of the programme, on the theme, “The Potter and the Clay”. In her inaugural talk she said, “We have not come to acquire knowledge but to become like Christ”.
The sessions taken by various resource persons: Sr. Leelamma Palliparambil on “Salesian Spirituality, Fr. Norbert SDB on “Community living”, Fr. John Crasta on “Cost of Discipleship”, Fr. David Barla on “Religious life”, Sr. Lily Perumpettikunnel on “Mary in the salesian charism”, Fr. Sylvanus SJ on “Discernment”, Fr. Philip SJ on “ Experience of Prayer and Contemplation” and Sr. Philomena Prabanalathan on “Constitutions” helped us to realize the demand of religious life, to identify ourselves in a better way, to be aware of what is happening within ourselves and overall, to come closer to God in fidelity to His call. Thus they enriched us challenging us to be authentic religious.
We are grateful to our Provincial Sr. Maria Pettayil for having given us this opportunity and supporting us with her prayers, Sr. Rose Ezarath and the community of Sacred Heart Novitiate for their hard work and sacrifices which enabled us to have a fruitful experience. We will cherish this memory of coming together and the unique God-experience.
